And I have seen countless, beautiful men like yourself wax and wane like the silver of the moon. You are just like everyone else. And if you so desire, I can be the monster you wish me to be. But we know that is not why you are here today.”
“Tell me, then, why am I here?”
They had stopped in the middle of the road and Hitoshi knew that just beyond the bend, stood the gates of Lothfield. Its resident vampire was watching him with a curious expression, head tilted to the side as if she could hear some wisdom that he could not. Her smile was sly, secretive.
“If you need me to tell you, then you are not ready to hear such words.” Her low, honeyed voice thrummed with promise and he cursed the unnatural charms of her kind.
Or, the one where Hitoshi really thought Ochako was forcing him to feel weird feelings with her vampire powers.

It was cute. And then shit got flirty and suddenly very, very real. And, frankly, more hilarious than I would have thought possible in the face of everyone's mortality. Cracking banter and Hitoshi bringing the goods with his acts of service and words of affirmation love language. Ochako being both a mild disaster because Capitalism, a real world hero and a BAMF with a comeback rate of 90% knock out one liners elevates this "and they were roommates" easily into the category of fics that I'll think about for the next couple of days.
