In a moment of drunken insanity, twenty-three year-old Tetsurou promises to marry Daichi if they're both single at thirty-five; twelve years later, he faces the consequences of his actions when Daichi decides to follow through with that promise.

Daichi hums, not replying. He did not, in fact, drink the milk, but stared at it for a good hour until he told himself to get a grip and put it in his ice chest for safekeeping.
Daichi leads a simple life giving out quests to passing heroes. It's unrewarding and mundane, but he enjoys it - until he meets a hero who just won't stop coming back for more.

Tetsurou licks his lips, wiping one sweaty palm on the thigh of his jeans. “You said you wanted to know what it’s like to be a local in San Diego, right?” he starts, and Daichi nods. Taking a deep breath, Tetsurou says, “I’ll show you. I’ve lived here for a long time, so I know a lot of good spots. I’ll show you what it’s like to be a fun, troublemaking citizen of the West Coast."
In which Tetsurou goes to buy a hot dog for Bokuto and ends up spending an entire night showing a handsome stranger what San Diego has to offer - including Tetsurou's own heart.
