As they care for the animal, Crosshair unexpectedly finds a sense of peace in its presence. Through the experience, Ada grows more at ease around the typically prickly Crosshair, seeing him not as cool and aloof, but simply human and imperfect. Meanwhile, Tech’s admiration for Ada only deepens as he watches her boundless compassion in action.
