It has been decades since a Volcarona blessed a ritual of the sun, the coming of age ritual every Ya'an-ah child must complete before they are considered an adult in the eyes of the desert nomads. A ritual that must be complete, before they are allowed out from the sands of what wider Unova knows as route four. By the end of Aidinza's ritual, it would likely be decades more before one would.

Summary
A world exists alongside ours, hidden but not truly separate. A world of magic, of monsters, of spirits and powers great and small, defined by Patterns and by ancient laws defining Right and Wrong in a way that does not jibe well with many in modern society. A world that some humans are Awakened to, often leading to disastrous ends. Others flourish, due to talent, luck, inheritance, or the right allies. Some are spotted for their potential, and recruited by those who would teach them and raise them up, though they usually have their own reasons for cultivating the young and impressionable into useful assets.
The Bombeck Circle promises better futures to prospective students, but at what cost? Are they really as well-meaning as they claim to be? And once you're in, is it possible to get out?

9.4. Long, exhaustingly long. But maintains a general level of quality after we get past the protagonist blaming a kid for getting groomed and absolutely reprehensible takes on those suffering from addiction.
