Summary
The cost of housing in San Francisco is too damn high. That's why Ethan Kemmotsu, long-time commuter, first time resident, is taking his condo as his demesne.
Still, keeping hold of a place to live isn't easy. Ethan will have to face San Francisco's politics and history in order to claim a position in it as a Practitioner. Despite the city's reputation as a site of modern technological advancement, a deep divide runs between the haves and the have-nots. Who gets to control what land has always been deeply contested within California. Ethan's demesne won't come without a fight.

He'll need to scrape together every trick he's ever learned to traverse the Worlds this strange 'darkness' everyone around him is claiming is responsible for ruining his happy life along with an unreasonably cheerful teenager with a magical superweapon, an angry and nearly unintelligible Duck wizard, and Goofy.
This is an Isekai about a practitioner ending up having to deal with the problems of the multiverse being eaten by the Heartless. This story will cover the events of Kingdom Hearts One.

Power, prestige, wealth, and knowledge. Ammitra Bates has it all, despite (or because of) her family dealing in things that most wouldn't touch. The word is binding, the word is power- and Ammitra has been trained to wield it like a sword her entire life.
Shoved out into the city-sprawl of Los Angeles, Ammitra has to contend with the bridges she'd burned and thought she'd never have to return to. Nearly alone, her family miles and miles away, she'll have to ensure that her skills as a Practitioner are up to the task if she wants to keep her picture-perfect life in the balance.

The practice is the intersection of self, word, and pattern. Word is inviolate, and patterns have been a part of Naomi Cohen's life for as long as she can remember. Her Self, however, has reached a point of flux, and in that challenge risks collapse.
So obviously the solution is ignore the problem and hope it goes away. Naomi is a student of the past, after all.
And the one thing everyone knows about the past is that it has never, ever had even the slightest bearing on the present.

Plea to the Moon-Mother is about a small group of queer people living in a world that melts Siberian folklore into the choking mundanity of surviving deep in Russia’s periphery.
— Thalber Mitaclau, my friendI was inspired by Pact by John C. McCrae (aka Wildbow). I wish it did some things differently and I have issues with McCrae as an author, but there are valuable concepts in the story. I am therefore writing an adaptation.
In Berkeley and in Western Siberia live both people I care about and people who have killed people I care about. So I still visit these places and people in my nightmares, because I haven’t forgiven them, and haven’t forgiven myself. There are worlds of tragedy there that I have experienced that I haven’t properly been able to express in any other way. So, I am expressing them here. Plea to the Moon-Mother is set in a blend of Berkeley and Salekhard: Keleykh. The similarities go beyond both being located inside oceanic bays, and I hold that there is deep irony in placing Berkeley in Russia. But I’d rather my story speak for itself in that respect.
Plea to the Moon-Mother is supposed to be both scarier and happier than Pact. Only time will tell if I accomplished that.
