It was fitting, and Jonathan hated how well it fit, like the polos his father handed down to him that always felt too snug at the collar. He hated his whole shitty situation, and Will hated it too, and how was he going to solve this, again?
Weed. Purple Palm Tree fucking Delight, baby. God, Jonathan had never been a worse brother.
At the start of spring break, Mike ‘misses’ his flight to Lenora. Jonathan’s solution, as always, is Purple Palm Tree Delight.

“I couldn’t let him hurt you,” Will blurts out. He turns back to Mike now, and there’s a desperation in Will’s eyes that damn near takes Mike’s breath away. “When I… when I saw that demo about to attack you, I just… I just knew I had to do something. Anything. I… I couldn’t lose you.”
Warmth rushes to Mike’s cheeks. That same, fluttery feeling from before has returned with a vengeance, and there’s a dozen different thoughts swirling around in his mind. Will wanted to protect him. Mike.
It’s dizzying to even try to wrap his mind around.

Summary
“Will,” El says gently, moving back into his space. “Your nose.”
He’s suddenly aware of the warm sticky feeling on his upper lip, and when he wipes a hand under his nose his fingers come away wet and red.
He’s about to reply when a chime rings in his ears, so loud it echoes inside his head, and he startles. “What the hell?”
Max’s gaze snaps to him. “What’s wrong?”
He frowns at her. “Did you hear that?”
Her eyes widen, her entire body going tense. “Hear what? Was it a clock?”
Oh, shit. “Is this one of the—”
He never finishes the sentence, because in the next moment, searing pain blooms in his head, far worse than any of the migraines he’s been getting since he crossed the Indiana border. It’s so intense that he staggers, vision whiting out, and he’s pretty sure he’s curled up on the ground—he can’t be sure; the world has blended sound and image and light and his mind is scrambling to make sense of it.
Don’t be afraid, someone says, but Will shies away from the voice, pressing the heels of his palms into his eye sockets. Welcome home.

“I don’t think that it has to mean that you’re into guys,” Lucas says. His words are accompanied by a casual shrug, and said in the tone of someone who has clearly already given this subject some thought. Will doesn’t know what to do with that information. Jump from a building, maybe. “I mean, we’d all get flustered if Spider-Man carried us in his arms.”
Mike points to him enthusiastically. “Thank you, Lucas.”
Dustin looks between the two of them, his eyes narrowed.
“...Would we?”
“Sure,” Mike concludes. “He’s attractive. That’s not a weird thing to think.”
Will just barely resists the urge to bang his head against the table. He feels Dustin’s eyes glued to his burning face, and sinks even further down his chair.
In which Mike tells Spider-Man that he has a crush on his best friend, and Will jumps to some very wrong conclusions.

Something darkens on Mike’s face, twisting it into a shape Will’s never seen. “Get out.”

Her words hit like a bucket of ice water being dumped on him, and Mike recoils, staring at his girlfriend—no, wait, his wife—in horror. “W-what? How… how could you say that, El? How could you say that?!”

Acererak- saved by Vecna when he was a child, apprenticed under Vecna and saved his life, later became a lich and then a demilich- a demilich. “Besides, aren’t demiliches more powerful than regular liches anyways?”
“What?” Henry says, his face contorting, and it’s enough of a distraction that Will is able to run.
Things lying dormant are finally awoken. Will is screaming. A Mind Flayer is born.

Summary
It wasn’t easy only seeing foreseeing things that went badly, but it was what led him to his roommates. Seeing visions of Bossuet and Joly even before he knew their names made them feel familiar even before they were properly introduced. Grantaire saw visions of many different students on campus because of their proximity, but the majority of his friendships came from the vision of a protest that he couldn’t avoid.
Powers were by no means common and the majority of powered individuals had very limited abilities. When people came along who did have strong abilities, when they decided to stand up and proclaim to the community that they wished to serve as protection, they weren’t always accepted graciously. Planning to protect the people without disguising themselves was foolish at best. That was the reason why Grantaire decided to go to the protest even when he saw how badly it would end. It was practically the duty of a precognitive to tell people, “yeah, that’s not going to work,” when he could quite literally see it fail. Attending the meetings of the idealistic group gave him a chance to say so every week.
