Summary
A year ago, Buck had been diagnosed with cancer and they had done everything possible to push it into remission.
Today, Buck and Eddie are in Buck’s oncologist’s office, waiting to receive Buck’s labs. The doctor comes in, they go through all the test results, then finally she apologizes and says that the cancer markers are not where they would like them to be and they’re going to need to schedule Buck for another round of chemo and radiotherapy.

A year ago, Buck had been diagnosed with cancer and they had done everything possible to push it into remission. A year worth of surgeries, of chemo, of radiotherapy, of blood transfusions, multiple hospital admissions and trying to keep things stable at home.
Today, Buck and Eddie are in Buck’s oncologist’s office, waiting to receive Buck’s labs to see if they had indeed beaten the cancer. And Buck has a cold, the kids had had it a week ago, and with Buck’s immunity lower than usual it was no surprise that he’d picked it up.
