Cody closed his eyes, leaning into the touch. It was just a little strange, perhaps, to be cared for this way. A warmth of a different kind than that he’d felt all his life for his brothers; and something entirely different than the love, he’d come to realize, which romance holos and some of his aforementioned brothers spoke of.
But it was warmth, either way. Warmth, and care, and strength, and only stars knew what made up the bond between him and Obi-Wan in its entirety, but Cody found that he’d wrapped himself in it completely and wasn’t willing to look for a release. The strength of the tie began, he thought, with just this – just the soft brush of Obi-Wan’s fingers against his cheek.
It was something unique, and it was something better for the both of them for that.
