Riki believed in fact; everything had an explanation. He knew better than to give into superstitious paranoia spread by what could be described as a mere coincidence decades ago. Though, he wouldn’t be truthful if he were to say that he didn’t find the missing persons cases a tad interesting. People didn’t just disappear.

Before Riki could leave, Sunoo mumbled something. “I don’t think I can do this anymore. It’s too much for me. I can’t it.”
“What are you saying? We both agreed to this. You didn’t have a problem and suddenly it's 'too much'. What changed?”
“You’re right. We agreed to this, but I never agreed to be treated like nothing when we aren't doing ‘this’.” Sunoo paused, trying to conceal the tremble in his voice before he continued. “I’m tired.”

“Maybe he likes you, I don't know.” Jungwon said as he paced around looking for an outfit.
“He’s straight.” Sunoo deadpanned.
“Does he know that? No straight dude wears that many rings.”
“Huh? He’s just emo or something.”
Or, Sunoo thinks his homophobic roommate is straight, despite his obvious signs of jealousy. That is until the two of them have a bit too much to drink and decide to hook up. Only then is Sunoo no longer sure.

A range of emotions coursed through Riki’s body. Elation, for the sight of his lover was akin to the first sip of water of a man dying of thirst, the first morsel of food of a man starving to death. Frustration, because all he wanted was to pull him into his arms and breath in the soft, sweet scent that he needed to fall asleep. Lust, Sunoo looked delicious, decadent, adorned in luxurious silks and face painted lightly with rouge, just the way he knew drove Riki wild with desire.
Anger, because Sunoo had perched his round bottom on a stool at the bar and Riki could hear the increased heart rates of men and women alike, who would no doubt love to devour his sweet peach if given the chance. Too bad Riki would always pounce before anyone could ever try.
