Summary
A sudden creak and a knock ripped Lucie from her thoughts, plunging her in anxiety-induced panic. The sound wasn’t muffled, so was surely from inside the room they were all in. Millions of possible scenarios flashed through Lucie’s mind before the sound of a quiet Spanish curse relieved her so much she almost passed out. If only.
“Benito?” She whispered, voice croaky, and she could hear how his breath hitched. She lifted her head and saw him frozen in the middle of the room, as if caught red handed. She let out a small huff of laughter at him.
“Sí?” Benito replied a moment later, voice laced with guilt without reason. “Did I wake you up? Lo siento- I was trying to be-”
Benito was cut off as Lucie let out another small laugh. A smile crept onto his face.
“What’re you doing?” She whispered back, her accent heavy on her words, as per usual this late at night.
“I couldn’t sleep so I was going to go watch some TV.” He said, turning now to fully face her.
“Ooh,” She huffed with the effort of sitting up. “Take me with you, please.” She said, now looking him in the eye.
OR
Lucie has trouble sleeping sometimes, but so does everyone else.

It was a quiet night. The weather was calm, and the moon was full. Benito awoke with a startled gasp, quickly shooting up from where he layed in bed. He looked around his room, eyes bleary and mind foggy but feeling, knowing that something was in there with him. It didn’t take him long to spot it.
His door was cracked open, and there stood Emi nervously in her far-too-big make-shift pajamas. Benito let out a quiet sigh of relief, glad to know none of the monsters that now haunt his dreams had suddenly become a reality again. He couldn’t deny the inkling of annoyance at being disturbed from sleep on the one night this week he had finally been able to drift out of consciousness without being bombarded with traumatizing memories, but he quickly morphed that annoyance into determination to help Emi with whatever problem she was currently facing.

Jeffrey accidently gives everyone a scare, but no one really minds.

Summary
Roier was sitting quietly on the couch with Cellbit when the message suddenly appeared on their communicators. Roier’s eyes widened as he read the message. Jaiden had been downed?? where was she?? Roier looked over to his husband, not surprised to see him already typing into the communicator at light-speed.
Cellbit> Jaiden?
Cellbit> Where are you??A few tense seconds passed.
Jaiden> nwsr home
Jaiden> fprestAnd with that, neither Roier nor Cellbit hesitated before running towards their warp stone, teleporting to Jaiden’s house as quickly as possible.
OR
Jaiden ignores her body's warnings, overworks herself, and ends up getting hurt. Roier and Cellbit don't hesitate to put her back together and make her feel loved.

Summary
Jaiden sighed shakily, her hands tightly gripping her head as it hung low towards the kitchen counter. She had her elbows propped up on said counter, using it as support. Her teeth were gritted against each other hard as she held back yells and bile. She always got so unlucky when her faintness came on.
A sudden noise behind her caused her to jump in surprise. It was late, extremely, and so no one she trusted should be awake. She whipped around, catching sight of a white streak in brown hair before her vision closed in and her thoughts were slowed.

Jaiden has a late-night fainting episode. Cellbit and Roier help.

“I don’t have a problem with androids, Jayce. They are a marvel of technology and I deeply respect the hard work. CyberLife did a wonderful job.” It wasn’t enough of an answer for Jayce though.
“Why were you reluctant to work with me then ?”
Jayce almost regretted asking. His eyes catched the minimal change in Viktor’s posture. He stiffened, bad leg tensed, smile tightened. He kept writing on his keyboard like nothing was wrong, but Jayce was a detective assistant. His purpose was to see, to dig, to analyze. Knowing his presence could be a bother didn’t sit right with him.
“My work is all I have. I am certain you have noticed, your analytic factor is high and you seem to have a craving for knowledge. The perfect partner, I guess." Viktor stood up suddenly, grabbing his worn out coat. "We have to go now Jayce, another corpse was found.”
OR Jayce is the perfect android to help stopping the deviants with the Lieutenant Viktor Nowak, until he is not.

They had been over the plan several times already, Viktor lamented soundlessly, but he understood her nerves. Ekko, who was busy spinning himself in one of Viktor’s office chairs, slowed to a stop with an exaggerated groan, dragging the toe of his shoes along Viktor’s floor. “Vi, how many more times are you gonna make us—”
“Until it’s perfect, Ekko.” Vi interrupted brusquely. “Everyone needs to be on the same page about what they’re doing, where they’re supposed to be, and what we’re after. We’re not gonna get another shot at this for months if we fail.”

OR: The kids from Zaun have a plan—find whatever Jayce Talis has been working on and steal it. The Progress Day Gala is the perfect opportunity to do so. The only issue? Viktor has to attend to "present" his research to Heimerdinger. He should be in and out quickly—just long enough to get Vi into place and dip. If all goes smoothly, he'll never have to interact with Jayce Talis at all. Simple, right?

Viktor leaned back in his chair. Across from him, Jayce flipped through his notes.
"Do you ever wonder," Viktor mused, voice barely above a whisper, "what it must feel like?" Jayce glanced up, brow furrowing. "What?" Not entirely listening to Viktor.
"To connect. Not through words. Not through gestures. But through something deeper." He gestured toward the holo-display, an intricate rendering of the Na'vi queue, the biological tendril that allowed them to bond with the world around them. "Their neural network isn't just communication. It's… understanding. True understanding. To merge with another being, to feel what they feel-" He trailed off, his fingers grazing the edge of the console.
"You make it sound so mystical. It's just a biological function, Viktor." Jayce replied.
Viktor scoffed, lightly leaning himself back into his chair, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Yes, and a sunrise is just light refraction, and love is just a series of chemical reactions, hmm?" Viktor waved his hand at Jayce as his elbow rested against the cold table.OR
Jayce and Viktor are both scientists in Pandora studying biology, where they work together as their feelings evolve.
