Summary
For the most part, Chrissy had grown accustomed to living alone. Self-sufficiency had done wonders for her, and she couldn’t be more proud of the little life she’d created for herself. But that didn’t make her self-imposed exile from anything related to Hawkins any less lonely.
Gazing at her plastic star-shaped tree topper, she couldn’t help wishing that maybe this Christmas would be different.

Summary
“Do you… like me?” she asks. He wants to deny it. Wants to laugh it off like the actor he is in Hellfire and move on with this encounter, but he can’t. Because Chrissy’s not one of his nerdy little sheep. Chrissy is his muse; he knows every expression like the strings on his guitar. And the way she’s looking at him now tells him she already knows the answer.

Summary
Caleb Widogast was keenly aware of three things. First, the current time was nearly three o’clock in the morning. Second, the insistent tap-tap-tapping against his nose was unmistakably that of a cat who was hells-bent on rousing him from slumber. Third, unlike other felines, none of the cats in the Tower would ever interrupt his sleep without a reason. Not even Frumpkin.

Summary
It’s the quieter moments that are the worst. When Waterdeep itself sleeps in peaceful reverie and the pain yells for attention, he can hear the ticking of that clock. There’s such fleeting time to make something of himself again - now free of the expectation of his peers or his goddess, just himself.
He runs a hand down his face, a cold smile tugging at his lips.
It’s just another push to his own folly if saving the world from illithid invasion somehow doesn’t feel like enough anymore.

Summary
The hand removed itself from his forehead. “Temperature is normal,” Gale announced, before using its fingers to gather some stray drool that had trailed down Astarion’s jaw. Before Astarion could register the pitiful jolt of arousal at the sudden skin contact or the sheer absurdity of what Gale was doing, Gale had stuck its fingers in its mouth.
“What the —”
“No new bacteria detected,” Gale went on, “Ruling out food poisoning.”
“Oh, Gods,” Astarion groaned. “And to think that these things are what’s sending our workforce into a tizzy. What next, 'droid? Are you about to give me a rectal examination too?”
“There is no need for one at the moment,” Gale said, confused. “Unless you are seeking prostate stimulation—”
“No!”
Amidst the softly thrumming melancholy of a dystopian, cyber-punk city, former corporate-rat Astarion Ancunín, who has long since lost the will to live, finds himself in possession of a G-413 or "Gale" - an amnesiac android who, strangely enough, enjoys living.

Summary
Killian has never seen his face. At least, not that he has memory of. Rescued by his adoptive father, Lord Rumple Gold, when he was a mere four years old, Killian has always been told that his heartless mother abandoned him on the steps of Misthaven Cathedral because of his monstrous deformity. A deformity that must be hidden away behind a mask. He is forced to suffer a life of abuse as Lord Gold’s son’s whipping boy until he comes of age at 18. Misthaven Bishop, Nemo, offers him a place as groundskeeper at the cathedral where for the past six years, Killian has longed for a life among the people of Misthaven. In a moment of bravery he chances being a part of the crowds during the annual Feast of Fools celebration and meets a woman who is able to see past his mask to the man underneath. With her help, perhaps Killian can begin to discover what lies beneath the mask.
