"Why did you leave me?" Regulus managed to babble through hysterical sobs, grey eyes wide and confused as he stared up at his older brother. He clutched at the bruise forming on the side of his face, stunned.
Sirius had never struck him before.
"Because you're a Jinx!" Sirius roared, taking three lumbering steps forward so he towered over him, his lip curled in disgust and disbelief. "Bella was right."
Regulus let out another sob. It wasn't a rare sight to see his brother angry, but that fury had never been directed at him before. Sirius had always been so careful with him. Regulus had never once thought he'd lose his affection, and now that he had, he wasn't sure what he would do without it.
