So yeah, maybe Santos had Garcia’s driver card stuck to her bedroom mirror during her formative teenage years, and maybe that headshot of Garcia with the trademark no-nonsense look on her face played some small part in her discovering her sexuality. And maybe in the back of her mind, she was thinking of Garcia when she declared her major in mechanical engineering, when she was pulling all-nighters with the FSAE team, when she was doing her PhD at the University of Pittsburgh before everything fell apart, again. Whatever, it’s not weird.

“I’m Enid Sinclair,” the girl says, and holds her hand out in a firm motion, asking to be shook. Wednesday keeps her eyes on the girl, Enid, for a second longer before focusing back on her typing, ignoring the hand being offered. After a few moments of silence, Enid drops it.
“Is that supposed to mean something to me?” she bites, squinting just a little when Enid makes no move to leave. The girl is so bright, face and hair more colorful than the flowers she keeps. It’s almost nauseating.
“I heard you were hiring,” Enid says, still confident. “I’m here for the job.”
Wednesday’s fingers slip, and the typewriter prints a line of jumbled letters. Her head snaps up at the girl, watching her cheery smile drop to something more anxious when Wednesday does nothing but stare angrily. She looks back at the paper, scanning the line she just messed up:

Welcome to most AU to ever AU (some weird bastard hybrid of high fantasy and sci-fi).
Alicent comes from the most patriarchal nonsense world imaginable, and her planet (Westeros) began a war with Rhaenyra’s planet (Valyria) because Criston Cole is a homophobic ass.
Following the war’s end, Rhaenyra realizes during treaty negotiations that Alicent (Cole’s fourth wife) is living her worst married life, and so demands that Alicent remain on Valyria as a sign of goodwill.
Alicent is scared out of her mind (Rhaenyra gained a terrifying reputation during the war) and traumatized beyond belief.
Rhaenyra is determined to show Alicent that she isn’t a threat (while also dealing with her own baggage on the side).In short, this is a hurt/comfort, eventual romance slow burn wherein Alicent finally gets some therapy and Rhaenyra just wants to hug her and wrap her up in a warm blanket (as do we all).
They will eventually fall in love.

It had been weeks since they’d defeated Reign, and Kara hadn’t seen Lena since then. Well, not since she’d seen her at the hospital, her tearstained face pale and angry as she sat beside Sam, who was unconscious and hooked up to machines, the wires snaking out from under the thin hospital gown. Lena had taken one look at Kara, still wearing her Supergirl suit and covered in the blood of their friend in the bed, and had told her to get out. Kara hadn’t even had the chance to explain herself, she’d just been confronted with anger and harsh words that had made her flinch as if she’d been slapped in the face by each of them. She’d tried reasoning with Lena, but she’d just broke down crying and told Kara to leave, and defeated, Kara had gone, her cape swishing around her as she walked outside, fighting back tears as she walked through the front doors and took off into the night. That had been the last time they’d seen each other.
