    And hell, she was more than that. More than some merc dealt a shit hand. She clawed her way through a year that would've broken damn near anyone else. In the end, it did. Still carried him through all of it, then died giving him something he never asked for and sure as shit didn't deserve.

    But ghosts never die in Night City, they have a habit of coming back to haunt him.

Struggling with his new reality, Johnny must make a choice: take the second chance she gave him that he doesn’t deserve or go against her wishes and bring her back.

    Unable to cope with a new reality without her in it, Johnny leaves Night City to get help with his first stop being someone from his past. His only goal is to bring her back, why would he care about anything else? There’s nothing else that matters.
