Summary
On the nights she’s set to come home, Taek falls asleep with his pager clutched in his fist, waking as soon as it buzzes, the airport’s familiar number flashing across the screen. It doesn’t matter what the hour is. It doesn’t matter if it’s near dawn or still dark. Taek pulls on pants and a sweater, shoves his feet into his shoes and drives to where she is, drinking coffee when the car stalls on red lights.
This is their compromise: Taek doesn’t wait at the airport for her flight to land, and Deok Sun calls him as soon as it does.
Or; Deok Sun works odd hours and Taek finds a way to see her more often.

Summary
A ghost told Link a story once. In this story, everyone died on a burning field.
There were two survivors –– the lovelorn princess and her battered knight, cursed in cruel mercy to a century in purgatory and a memory so shattered and broken that it was impossible to put the shards back where they fit.
He learned atop the Temple of Time, the dilapidated ruins where his ancestors’ ancestors’ ancestors once stood, that Hyrule had sustained itself on nothing more than stories for ten thousand years. Evil collected underneath the marble floors of Hyrule Castle for centuries. Hyrule had almost unlimited time to find a way to stop it, and yet they waited for two characters out of a fable to save them. Why was anyone surprised when the myth couldn’t sustain itself? Salvation is not the job of two children, regardless of the lofty titles placed over their heads.
But this isn’t a story about a knight. It’s not a story about a princess. This is a story about the aftermath of stories.
This is, ostensibly, a story about a dog.
Link, Zelda, and a never-ending story.

Someone with a brand like his had no business getting so attached to a nice girl like her. Even if her eyes were the color of the Grasslands in spring, and her laughter was like summer wind, and her touch on his bare shoulder made him see fairylights. He remembered with remorse the first time he saw her on the wharf, tossing crumbs onto the rolling sea for the gulls, and how his head had snapped her way a second time, eyes too wide. Remorse, and a bit of a smile.

Perhaps there was something to be said about the princess and her knight. There certainly would be if the nobles or court women caught them out here so late in the evening, especially if they saw the princess dressed like this outside. She wondered, not for the first time, how they would talk if she saw them sitting on her study’s balcony together with her knees flat and back pressed against the stone wall, his head resting snuggly on her lap with his golden hair splayed out, brighter than the sun and sweeter than honey.
But when he smiled up at her, she knew that she couldn’t care less.

Summary
Joy was a precious commodity in those years leading up to Calamity, tenuous and fragile and oh so precious. Indeed, any levity in those shadowed times was to be savored, but what Link coveted above all was Zelda’s delight. The Princess of Hyrule deserved every speck of happiness she could get her hands on, King and court be damned. It was hard won, but worth every effort to see her grin. Link pursued Zelda’s smile with the same relentless dedication that made him the youngest knight in Hyrule’s history, and he swore to do anything in his power to make her happy. Anything to see those rays shine around her.
