“Can you teach me how to…” He didn’t finish the thought, too worried about how the already escaped words landed with his shishou.
“Mob…” Reigen pinched his temple, groaning out an even bigger sound of dismay, “Why would you even want to try this stuff?”
He held up the unlit cigarette.
“This,” it slotted firm between his thumb and index finger. He couldn’t afford to drop it, “is bad for you. But you already know that, so I don’t know why you asked.”
“I know.” Mob looked down at his lap. He hated when Master was frustrated with him, but it’d been a quiet thought in the back of his mind for a while, a curiosity, perhaps even a want. To taste the cigarettes Shishou smoked and experience what it felt like to be him. He wanted the smoke close, to feel it fill his lungs as Reigen’s words had his heart and mind.
“I want to try new things.” Clarification didn’t help.
