“Call a therapist”. The precision of the cut Yolanda absolutely meant to make but surely didn’t aim for such depth – was another thing to think right after the memory of Langdon’s voice daring to utter; “I’d be happy to teach Dr. Santos” and Yolanda not even blinking when –
Picking up the phone and saying, “No”, when Yolanda asked to swing by for the evening; was the easiest thing Trinity had done all week.
But following up with, “I think we’re done”, had choked the oxygen out.
She didn’t catch the flutter of Yolanda’s breathing; too busy trying to fight her way out the window to sit on the hot metal of the fire escape and try to suck in a clear inhale. She did catch the precise delivery of a “cool, thanks for the heads up”, before Yolanda hanged up the phone.

The Forth of July had been nothing more than a bad shift; but the span of the days after it, created a pocket of time.
A pocket of time for Santos to remember even when the memory of the shift on the Forth faded. Whitaker moving out, Javadi moving in, Al-Hashimi taking a leap. Garcia asking to stay.

Summary
Four blocks. They had made it four blocks from PTMC before the collision.
Which meant Trinity and Dennis had been away from the hospital for all of forty-five minutes before being rushed back in on stretchers.
“I told you, I’m fine,” she scowled as Dana guided the EMTs toward Central 6. “You’re not even supposed to be here!”
Or: Trinity and Dennis are just trying to make it home, a poorly timed bus accident sends them right back to the Pitt. Luckily they have people (and morphine) to help with their predicament.

Summary
The sound of Baran bouncing the ball echoes through the stadium. She looks up, her eyes locking onto Trinity from across the net. An infuriatingly relaxed smirk plays at the corner of Baran’s lips. A smirk, really? A fucking smirk?
Trinity, the current world number two, comes up against her idol, retired Grand Slam champion Baran Al-Hashimi, in a charity tournament and it doesn't end well for her.
Or, a sort of enemies to lovers tennis AU.
