Those were the words that came out of the lips of a drunk Chris Martin, saying that to Matt Bellamy.
Matt was drunk for sure, but not too drunk that he heard those words clearly enough to smirk at Chris in response.
“Oh, really?” he responded.
And Chris was drunk for sure, but not too drunk that he became aware of what he himself had just said out loud.
“Fuck. Uh, forget what I said.”
“If I forget that, then I can’t ask if you want to come over to my place and do it.”

Chris was drunk enough at the 2002 Q Awards after party to admit that he wants to have sex with Matt. Matt is more than interested to have a go at it. He didn't expect that the one night stand just went on longer than he anticipated.

Based on a paragraph that I saw from a Muse interview in the magazine, Melody Maker, on what happened after the show in Graz, Austria on February 4th, 2000.
“I fancied an early night and they said everyone had gone to this Irish bar and these two people said they'd give me directions. I got to the bar and no one was there, so I spent the rest of the night with these two strangers, going to some weird places in Graz. I ended up in a cheesy rock club where everyone was dancing to [pompous Seventies types] Supertramp and [ludicrous Eighties metallers] Mötley Crüe. I ended up staying there until about five, then went back to someone's house for a few hours and got a train back at nine this morning.”
At least, that's the story that Matt had given to his bandmates and the journalist on what happened when he'd been left 200 miles behind in a town called Graz. A story that omits the detail of his night in the dark room of a gay club, getting fucked by five men that he met and befriended.

“If I were sent back in time…” Chris thought about it for some time before he found an answer. “Okay, if I were sent back in time, I would do something that I really should’ve done now so my future self wouldn’t carry any regrets with him about what he should’ve done.”
In a hotel in Fujikyu the night before the first Summer Sonic Festival in 2000, as soon as Chris left Matt's room to do an interview, Matt encountered a future version of Chris Martin from 2006. The older Chris Martin offered Matt something that he couldn't resist. After all, how was Matt going to refuse trying out having sex with someone from the future?
