Summary
Axel has grown up in the system, abandoned by his drug addicted mother at a young age and succumbing to a life of bitterness and petty crime. After twenty years, by happenstance, he meets his mother again, only now she’s rich and successful and has a new family Axel wasn’t good enough to be apart of. Among them is a boy named Roxas, who Axel can’t help but to both love and hate, and it’s a balancing act of trying to forgive and adjust all the while dealing with the mood swings of a sheltered rich kid who’s got his own list of mommy issues.
