listening to too sweet rn bc i saw kunizai fan art to it so now i just automatically think kunizai when hearing it.
pasting my fav part:- “You really are something, Kunikida-kun,” Dazai said, his voice breaking slightly as his lips curved into a small, genuine smile. “You’d throw away your precious ideals for me?”
“I’m not throwing them away,” Kunikida said, his voice softer now. He took a steadying breath and looked Dazai straight in the eyes. “I’m choosing what matters most. And that’s you. It’s always been you.”
For a moment, Dazai looked like he might cry. His fingers trembled as he reached out, brushing against the edge of the ring, as if testing to see if it was real. His smile softened, and the bravado that usually shielded him from the world melted away.
“You’re such an idiot,” Dazai murmured, his voice laced with affection and something deeper, something Kunikida had long hoped to see. “But you’re my idiot.”
Kunikida’s breath caught. “Is that a yes?” he asked, his voice cracking slightly as hope and fear collided in his chest.
Dazai met his gaze, steady now, his eyes shimmering with a rare vulnerability. “Yes,” he said softly, his voice carrying the weight of every unspoken emotion between them. “I’ll marry you.” -

i had such hopes this would end nicely with aku going back home to atsushi. that is until mori called. i frowned when i saw mori written there because i knew everything would go down hill. great writing, love this fic even though i would cry about the ending right now if i could. i appreciate the akuatsu fluff, yes atsushi would braid aku's hair. added to my list of sskk hcs that's stored somewhere in my mind ;-;. junichiro being sent to the mafia? chuuya to the agency? i dont know how to feel about that. if aku doesn't get to have dinner with atsushi after this, i guarantee i will sob. he already lost chuuya, don't do this to him :(. mori i hate you, so, so bad. also gin mentioneddddd. i don't think junichiro can survive the mafia, like i dont think junichiro of all people would be able to handle torturing someone. he could obviously. but he would be riddled with guilt or maybe get ptsd from it? or maybe nightmares? yk it would like haunt him forever. these are just my headcanons soo it's how i think it would play out. like the after math of junichiro having to torture info out of someone. this is is getting dark fast- also who knew i could write this much?? i mean a lot of things did happen in the fic anyway. also CHUUYA TAKING CARE OF AKU??? lowkey forgot about that.. chuuya as aku's parental figure canon (again, my hc..). i honestly don't like how long this is. so im ending it here even though i have some more that i would like to type out, i just think this is enough honestly.

holy fuck. i don't even know what to type, my jaw is just dropped. i love this. i love this so much. i just stared at my screen for about a solid minute, in awe. i can't even put into words how much this fic just wowed me. i love inotan ten times more now. this is the third fanfic that has been so great that i just had to type out a review, so be honored. it'll take me many, many months to get over this. for it to stop being my every thought. i don't think ill ever find any other inotan oneshot as good as this one.
this is now canon in my heart /joke.
and no i don't care that i am multiple years late to read this as it was made in 2021. its that good i just have to write this even though i am so embarrassingly late to it. i will most definitely be coming back to reread this over and over.
