Apparently balancing a growing relationship with the freckled pool boy is harder than it looks, when coupled with a more than dysfunctional family life, a cheating scumbag for a father, and a seriously lonely existence.
An AU of equal measures fluff and angst featuring pool cleaning, roof-top smoking, lots of parental problems, and mainly shirtless Marco.

Too bad Jean is oblivious and/or just plain stubborn, and everyone else thinks this is Marco’s worst idea ever. But in retail, you end up spending a lot of time with your coworkers regardless of what you want, and Marco will do his best to make every interaction with Jean count until they get somewhere. Or at least until Jean gets less awful.

Finally, they ended up in Rose Group Home. Their options seem bleak until Eren meets a short, surly, impulsive cop one night on a self indulgent tantrum, and for some reason this guy seems to give a shit. After years of fending for himself, Eren feels like he can finally breathe again.
