As an overworked vet tech at the Nod Krai Veterinary Clinic, Illuga is prepared for a lot of things, ranging from unpredictable exotic animals to demanding owners. He is not, however, prepared for the tall, imposing shadow of a man who carries an odd atmosphere into the lobby, causing every cat, dog, and bird in the room to go dead silent. Even stranger is the tiny, light grey Pomeranian cradled reverently in the man's arms, rushed to triage week after week for absurdly dramatic "medical emergencies."
So why does a guy who terrifies every animal in the city keep finding excuses to bring his perfectly healthy dog into their clinic?
