You decided to do some research into this Al-Haitham fellow. You took a walk through Sumeru City, chatted with some people, and learned a few things. He had boundless knowledge and some argued he was a prodigy, or even some kind of demi-god. He didn’t change his outfits often and usually wore green. He could always be seen wearing soundproof headphones. Despite never being seen at the gym, he was apparently ripped, even moreso than you. He had prematurely graying hair.
You found the second-to-last fact surprising and even doubted its validity. So far, Haitham just sounded like one big nerd, and most big nerds were not actually that big in the physicality department. Surely the cityfolk were exaggerating; he probably had a handsome face and a charming personality, but simply lacked a nice body, which made a lot of people delude themselves into thinking it matched the other, much better aspects of him.
Yes, you thought at the time, that was a perfectly reasonable conclusion that was definitely not born from envy or jealousy.
You and Kaveh are already together. But you get into a weird competition with Al-Haitham to win his affections anyway!

Delinquent Childe is kidnapped by a twisted scientist and tossed to a predator that was supposed to be nothing but a myth. Although his captors intended for him to be torn apart and eaten, the dragon isn't quite as vicious as Childe expected. How will he survive with being locked up in the same room as a starving monster? Will he and his new cellmate, a terrifying beast, be able to live in harmony?---
Aka I received one (1) shred of approval from the people of AO3 after posting my last fic, so now what was supposed to be a simple smut story about Childe falling in love with and screwing a dragon Zhongli turned into a multichapter fic from the motivation. I hope someone will enjoy this story as it is kind of a niche idea. :) I certainly had fun writing it.
Updates will be fast because all four chapters up to the ending are already written!
