“I need more,” the man said. His stare still made her uncomfortable, particularly now that he was looking at her up close, and Claire felt herself lean away from him slightly. His eyes flashed at the movement, and he immediately grabbed her by the shoulders. “Please, it won’t hurt…” he implored. “In fact, if you do this for me… I’ll make sure you feel good.”
“Okay, but, um… I’m not sure what you mean…” Claire replied, anxiously. Suddenly, she wasn’t so sure how she felt about continuing to comply with the man—whether she’d just found him unconscious or otherwise.
The man leaned in even closer, and as he spoke, the moonlight glinted off his abnormally long canines. “It’s your blood. I need more.”
