Summary
Katara and Zuko are working together to scout out a new location to expand the Southern Water Tribe and it's growing population. The only problem—they can't stand to be in the same vicinity for more than 0.5 seconds.
Mid-Argument in the middle of frozen tundra, a blizzard breaks out, and they manage to get to a cave for safety. They start to warm up to one another, opening up emotionally as long time friends.
Zuko of course, offering to warm up a very cold Katara as well.

Summary
It was easy for Zuko to pretend he didn’t want Katara when they were enemies.
It got a bit harder once they were allies.
It became borderline painful once they were friends.But now that she’s taken up a prolonged residency in his palace? It feels physically impossible.
Especially since she’s started looking at him in a way that absolutely cannot mean what he desperately wants it to mean, and behaving in ways that feel dangerously close to flirting.
Of course, Zuko knows he is almost certainly imagining all of it. The alternative would be completely insane.
Or: Katara tries to seduce the world’s most emotionally repressed man.

She closes her eyes and leans her head back with a soft thump. If Toph or Sokka had figured out what she was reading… a shiver runs down her spine. In truth, she's not even sure what she's reading. She'd spotted the incriminating object while at the market this morning and curiosity had won over.
She'd almost put the cursed thing down immediately after reading the first sentence. Katara is no stranger to reading romance, but to be reading about someone who is supposed to be her, who bears her name and her features, who says and does things that Katara has never said or done, and with Zuko of all people? It is so strange.
But also… weirdly thrilling?
Or, Katara discovers fanfiction. And smut.

Katara eyes him like he’s an animal, a wild thing she’s trying to ease into domestication. ‘The opposite, actually.’ She uncrosses her legs, leans forward in her chair and those tight blue eyes— full and ambivalent and certain all at once— get his full attention. ‘What if I did it? What if we did?’
‘What if we did what?’
Her cheeks are ruddy, her braid messy as though she’s spent too long anxiously fiddling with it. ‘Date. Court. Whatever you call it.’
Zuko blinks, repeats her words back to himself once twice, trying to make sense of them. No good; his brain is scrambled. ‘What…? What are you talking about?’
‘Sokka’s plan,’ she says slowly, frowning at him. ‘I’ve been thinking about it. It’s sound in theory, he just had the wrong girl in mind.’
