Just stumbled across this article about Rozanov and Scott Hunter arguing on a balcony at the MVP gala?? apparently ended with hunter telling him “fuck you” - anyone know if this is real or just offseason clickbait?

A blaring alarm yanked him out of his panic like a fish out of water. He shot upright, flailing his limbs that were caught in something soft. Blurred splashes of colour steadily painted a picture of a bedroom he’d recognise anywhere. It was brighter now, light pouring in through partially shut curtains. His breath was heavy and he struggled making sense of how the hell he’d ended up in bed when just a moment ago, Ilya had–
“Hollander.” Ilya slurred, narrowing his eyes at him. “Turn that thing off.”

This is a love letter to the all the millenials like me who played it too careful and forgot to enjoy our youth. Shane and Ilya, enjoy it for me, do good. Fuck it good, fuck it right. Life is too short to live it scared.
The arena is too loud.
That’s the first thing Shane notices; not the ice, not the lights, not the jersey on his shoulders that suddenly feels wrong in a way he can’t articulate. The sound hits him like pressure, like something physical, a wall of noise that vibrates in his chest.
He’s already bent over for the faceoff when it hits him- skates set, stick down, weight forward. His body is exactly where it’s supposed to be even if his brain is still skidding uselessly, trying to catch traction.
There’s only a split second before the puck drops.
It stretches.
He lifts his eyes.
Ilya.
Young. So fucking young. Is he dreaming? Not worn by years of hockey, travel, interviews and losses and victories that stack so high they blur together. He’s young again; sharp boned, bright eyed, unable to grow a beard to save his life. Bears black and gold instead of Centaurs red. 'If I look down am I going to be pantsless too?' Shrugging one shoulder far more casually than he possibly feels, Ilya says, “I like both. Is secret, okay?”
“Okay,” Hollander says, voice cracking.
He doesn’t say anything else. The air’s so heavy around them that it feels like being in the middle of a scrum, the weight and heat of all those bodies pressing down on you. Danger always feels like hockey; it’s the most dangerous thing Ilya knows, except for this. Everything dangerous in his life involves men’s bodies and just how close he can get to them. Closer than he probably should.
A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Especially not when staying away from each other starts to feel just as impossible as getting along.

After being outed and tripping on game 7, Shane wakes up in a hotel in Saskatchewan - confused and in a body that doesn’t fit him quite right, and his parents sleeping in the bed next to him.
Despite confusion, he decides to do what he does best - go for a run and make a plan while he does it.
1. It seems to be 2008, the exact day he met Ilya all those years ago
2. He, possibly, has a chance to fall in love all over again
3. There is no way in hell that he’ll spend another decade pining and yearning at long distance
4. He has no clue how he is going to do it - but he’ll make sure Ilya Rozanov will be his, sooner rather than later this time aroundShane returns to the hotel room a bit more with it, and now with a plan. To woo Ilya Rozanov at first sight and to, this time, win the prospect cup. However, a certain russian shaped wrench will be thrown in Shane’s thought out plans.
