This started out as one-shots to go in between the episodes of season 1, but evolved into my own version of season 2. Who shot Fred? What really is at the root of Riverdale's seedy underbelly? How many times can Jughead and Betty have sex in one day? When will Hot Dog come live with Juggie? Can the soap that shooketh the fandom shake again? In the second half of this fic, our favorite detective duo is back to solve a town mystery, protect their loved ones from someone trying to eliminate them all, and to have sex as many places as possible. “You guys are so lucky I’m back. We’ll make the most of our time before the semester starts,” Veronica says excitedly, the wheels in her head already spinning.
Jughead lets out an audible groan at the idea, sharing his opinion, but politely so. Betty chuckles, and they share a knowing glance that says they need to stop her. But Veronica is already back on her feet, ignoring their protests as she starts pacing circles around the dining room table, throwing her arms around once more.
“I’m sure we can fit a summer worth of fun into two weeks. We just need a set of goals,” she says, tapping her perfectly manicured finger against her chin. “For example, we need to find Betty a guy.”
“What?” Betty’s eyebrows shoot up and Jughead quickly shoves a piece of cupcake into his mouth to keep himself from voicing his opinion.

While dealing with the prognosis, Jughead couldn’t ignore the ray of hope keeping him grounded through the sadness in the form of Pediatric Oncology nurse Betty Cooper. Can he learn to love while living in a nightmare? Can she learn to put aside her insecurities and conflicting feelings to fall for the father figure of her patient?
Warning: lots of angst and descriptive smut ahead.
