Summary
Magic Island was, in a sense, a club like any other. Standing near the main boulevard, where the two main roads connected and where hundreds of thousands of people passed every day, it had a huge clientele of young people. Drinks were poured in gallons and served to those with visibly fake IDs, the music was loud enough to drown out all the sounds inappropriate for such public place.
It was a sinful spot that people would turn their heads away from during the day, but it didn’t really matter – as soon as the clock hit 5:53pm, nothing mattered. The beginning of Blue Hour, club’s program, was signalized by the neon sign turning from ashy gray to bright cerulean and just like a regular lamp lures in moths, such glare had the same effect on everyone around.

Yeonjun dropped like a rock directly in the middle of the placid lake that was the great hall, and Soobin was directly next to him. It was bad enough trying to account for Beomgyu’s introduction but add the beautiful Slytherin and it was not okay.
He was fine.
Soobin glanced down at the food again. Whispers started up all around him, the rest of his classmates reacting to the sudden shift. The edges all looking towards the middle.
The roll turned to ash in his mouth.
He fled.Soobin never expected the changes that came when your best friend suddenly started dating the school's heart-throb. He was happy for Taehyun and Beomgyu, he truly was, but he could have done without the sudden attention on him from the rest of the school. Especially when along with Beomgyu came Yeonjun, the social butterfly, who threw off all of Soobin's carefully crafted routines.

The last sentence was hushed so lowly that Beomgyu thought he had imagined it.
Everything that Taehyun had said made him feel so much better and see things differently but somehow at the moment, none of it mattered.
He felt so much at the same time.
Sadness.
Confusion.
But somehow the feeling that overpowered all the hurt he was still feeling was extreme fondness and pure adoration for this beautiful boy.
This beautiful faceless boy.

Beomgyu is swimming through life's hurdles, living in the shadow of his brother, counting (maybe a little too much) on his best friend and sometimes the weight of life can feel a little like drowning.

“You’re the one who chose the question from our subscribers, Kai!” Taehyun hissed, “And you,” he glared at Beomgyu, “You better drink right the fuck now.” He didn’t even wait and poured Rum in Beomgyu’s shot glass, ignoring Beomgyu’s whining.
“But Hyunnie! It’s fun. We’re the fun couple!”
“I’m not fun. You’re crazy. Drink.” He practically force-fed the shot alcohol in Beomgyu’s mouth, trying to reign down the satisfying feeling that overtook him when Beomgyu just automatically opened his mouth to drink what Taehyun gave him.

in beomgyu’s defense, he did try his best to take in the younger’s words and reflect on his actions, but that didn’t last long when his sight landed on the elf’s plump red lips, parting every now and then as he continued on with his rambling. it looked so inviting, so kissable. beomgyu wondered if he tastes the same way he smelled; strawberries and vanilla.
god, he was beyond saving.
king beomgyu nearly offed himself after a nasty snake bite. the court mage was having none of it.
