Summary
“Well, I can tell this means something to him. I’ve got this feeling about it.”
If Will has a feeling, it means something.
“Okay.” Mike nods. “Tell me about it. When did you see this?”
Will breathes out, dragging a hand down his face that settles over his mouth as he looks over it again. “This is… a memory, I think.” He declares, taking a black marker and inking lines between the reds. “A good one. Maybe not happy, but hopeful.”
(or, the one where will byers spends a lot of time thinking in the shelter at wsqk, and mike wheeler decides to check up on him.)

Summary
The Byers’ new house is closer to Mike’s.
This is a Development.
Mike sees Will on the weekends. Mike sees Will on occasional school nights. Mike sees Will like he’s living with them again, stuffed into Mike’s back pocket, comfortably, reliably close.
Turns out, this is a problem.
.
or: Will is lovely, and Mike is in love. Maybe. Probably. Definitely.

Summary
Will Byers is a ghost.
He doesn't remember most of his life. He knows he killed himself. That was apparent when he was watching his own memorial in the school gym. Other than that, it's all a blur.
Oh, he also runs a blog. A mysterious blog called the "Spirit Weekly". In the deepest corner of the school's attic, he found a magic computer he can write on. Now, he listens to people's drama and posts it for the whole school to read. He's not evil. He's just bored. It's boring being a ghost.
Mike Wheeler lost his best friend over a year ago. He feels dead. He would be lying if he said he hadn't considered following right after him. He couldn't do that, though. He couldn't do it to his friends and family. Not like Will did.

Summary
There’s something wrong with Will.
It started three weeks ago, almost four. Will had woken from some sort of nightmare and, instead of seeking comfort in Mike the way he usually would, he’d rolled out a sleeping bag from the closet and chosen to sleep on the floor.
No one believes Mike, except for Joyce. But even she doesn’t understand the full extent to which something is wrong with Will.
Mike understands, though. Mike has been paying attention.

Summary
"Is Will your boyfriend?" Holly asks, and Mike immediately chokes on the lettuce in his mouth.
"Wh- what?" he gasps, dropping his fork and swallowing back the salad that suddenly feels like cement in his throat. Holly's looking at him with a strange expression, like she's trying to figure something out.
"Will. Is he your boyfriend?" she repeats, even though Mike very obviously heard her, and the question doesn't feel any less shocking the second time.
"No!" He yelps. "No, why would you think that?"
Holly shrugs, taking another bite of spaghetti like this is a normal conversation and she is not slowly killing him. "Nancy calls him your little boyfriend sometimes, and Mom says he's your person, which basically means the same thing, and you live together and act like a couple and unpack groceries together, and- I don't know. Seems like it could be a thing."
holly visits college roommates mike and will, and has a few important questions for them

Summary
“Hey, so why was your stuff here in the first place?”
At an instant, Wylan’s bright smile turns precarious. It’s not so much anything to do with his expression as it is the sudden tense in posture, the way he so obviously tries to look unbothered.
Jesper grimaces, just as instantly. “You don’t have to–”
“It’s nothing. It was part of a treatment this ‘doctor’ my father called had, for my reading…” Wylan makes a small, unspecific gesture with an awkward smile. The silence that hangs is thick.
–
A discovery of a locked-away box of Wylan’s childhood belongings stirs up an argument between Jesper and Wylan, and then a conversation—but not before bringing up a few memories too.

Summary
It was that time of year again. The time of year where parents would whisper loving words into the ears of their children, showering them with as much love as they could before the reaping.
This year was different though, this year two boys were picked. One from District Eleven and the other from District Twelve. They are silent as their names are called, a quiet sob can be heard from the first boy’s father. They didn’t speak during the training sessions but both captured the attention of the gamemakers.
It isn’t until one of them is asking the other for mercy as a gun is pointed at his head that they realise how truly fucked society is.
But how will they survive a game that is impossible to win?
And what happens when one of them turns out to have a secret?

Summary
Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.
