The smile on his face is so openly fond, it hits Rhett square in the chest and he feels himself returning it on instinct. As natural as scratching an itch or squinting after stepping out into sunlight. A built-in bodily response of Link’s happy, I’m happy.
“Nah, you know I’m more of a lover than a fighter,” Link dismisses, fighting a grin. “Think I’m gonna hug you instead.”
