This is all well and good, but one adventure and a run-in with some rusty metal later, Ellie realizes she needs safer methods of spicing her life up. Luckily for her, a travelling circus is in town, and it might just be what she needs to drag her out of her boring and disinteresting life.

The world has become destabilized, leaving the players in an empty, disjointed purgatory. The circus is breaking down, becoming increasingly corrupted without the AI to manage it. If something doesn't get done, it's all over, but no one knows what to do.
Pomni thinks she can feel Caine out there somewhere—alone, confused, distressed. Kinger says it may be possible to save him, to save them all—but to do so, one must enter the code, and somehow, against all odds, make their way back out. Pomni will have to go alone, and see a side of Caine that he never wanted anyone to see. But can she get through to him, and does he even want to be found?
