Sam, Dean, and Castiel stand before two isolated and battered houses Crowley had owned, their feet sinking into soft sand and the Hawaiian sun warm on their backs. Under a whimsical sense of security, they move into an easy lifestyle of beach bars, fire pits, and quiet nights filled with the happy hum of crickets. They faked their deaths; they fled the mainland; they get caught up in the excitement and fear of it all and serendipitously experience new feelings that are different than the ones from before, maybe even for the first time.
