Hiruko knew what was coming next. She didn't know why it was happening or why she knew it was going to happen, but she knew. And yet, despite knowing the consequences that were sure to result from her actions, she responded, "If it'll get you to focus, then we'll figure it out. But you have to tell me what's wrong first."
That offered him no comfort. The pain in his voice was evident as he attempted to put on a confident front. "I just need—something's wrong with my body, or my head, and...I've been trying to control it, but lately, it's scary when I do it alone. But I need it. If you're here, I think I can...God, how do I even—"
Hiruko pushed her glasses up on her nose, more of a nervous tic than an intimidating gesture. "Are you asking if you can masturbate in front of me, Sumino?"
(Takumi suffers the repercussions of a loop he doesn't fully remember. Hiruko is there for him, as always.)

Takemaru Yakushiji couldn’t stop thinking about the Undying Flame Boy.
He had been protecting them this entire time, literally giving his life to keep them safe. And he was doing it all for people who wouldn’t even know he existed. Well, obviously they knew he existed now. But they weren’t supposed to. Sirei had planned to keep him a secret.
The entire thing was - to put it lightly - fucked up.
On Day 94 of the Box of Calamity route, Takemaru says the following: "Hey, c'mon, Shion's cool!"
This is a rather unusual line, considering that Shion never gets a name in that route! Even the UI still refers to him as ???
Is this just a plot hole? Yeah, of course it is. The game has 100 endings, it's natural that there were some continuity errors.
... but, for the sake of fanfic, let's imagine that this wasn't a continuity error.

very very well written, great descriptions, great dialogue, great pacing, masterful understanding of less is more when it comes to conveying the plot. i wouldn't call it a super comprehensive exploration of them, but i would still call it great.
the domination in the sex does have some iffy elements kind of inherent to these two and their relationship, but it's handled well. besides, i think that if they're able to get over their dynamic, not let the past of it haunt them, to just be fuckin Horny then i count that as character development and a win.
