switches tones quite fast (in a good way). the full lowercase suits the tone quite well actually, reflects the less defined nature of dreams.

Summary
The hours that had passed since Peko’s execution had been tough, that wasn’t hard to tell. His eyes looked tired, like they had stared death in the face, the fire that they once contained now extinguished. He experienced a loss like never before, and while he was no stranger to death, having the person he cared for most be torn from his side so forcefully by his own fault was a lot to bear.
Sometimes a movement in the shadows made him think of her. Of the way she once moved so gracefully and silently, often scaring him by showing up out of nowhere. The way her feet could dance without making a sound, silent yet oh so deadly, a dance he adored.

ahhh this is much an unusual and great character study as a family fic!

[FIC SPOILERS]
peko's 'living for others and never for myself' mindset (as well as other mindsets from her upbringing) keeps making nasty appearances here, it feels so sad and so human to watch her try and distance herself from the child (not natsuhi, not her child, THE child) so that she doesn't inherit peko's problems. and it's gut-wrenching because you as the reader already know that this distancing would lead to its OWN problems
peko not particularly getting that close bond until it properly clicks is simultaneously sweet and sad. sad in that you know exactly why she doesn't get it (she's never had this sort of bond before), but happy when she finally does
but yeah! it's nice to see it turn around! also the symmetry of the fic, with peko's bad dream about motherhood near the beginning, and her comforting her child after a bad dream near the end

WGAT THE FUCKK I DID NOT REALISE THERE WAS A 2ND CHAPTER???? it's also great, glad to get the 3rd perspective! it's great because you can understand why on both sides, fuyuhiko and peko have a lot of skeletons in their closet that would be potentially difficult (and emotionally painful for them) for their child to process, but natsuhi sorta has a right to know eventually

HOW HAVE I NOT BOOKMARKED THIS ALREADY? it is So Sweet and so well written!!! highlight has to be gundham's booming, ALL CAPS introduction when he first approaches each new member. especially the one with peko (partially because fuyuhiko is there too and so is also like 'the FUCK?')
some of the members invited are what you'd expect, however some are a little less conventional and that's cool!
also one of the two fics in the peko & ryoma friendship tag, which makes it epic (both for being one of those few fics exploring it, plus being one of the few fics with it to adequately tag it because i KNOW there's more)
