Summary
Our story is about a city, and the people who live in that city. It's about the dark corners, the hiding places nobody knows where the hand of the law doesn't quite reach. It's about broken-down old buildings, about concealed switchblades. It's about what is commonly known as chiaroscuro: the intense, blinding contrast between light and dark. In this city, though, there's a little more oscuro than there is chiaro.
The name of our city is Riverdale.

“Yeah,” Betty said softly, her mind still lingering on Jughead Jones’s eyes.

A civil war is brewing between the north and south sides of Riverdale, being fueled by none other than the mayor Hal Cooper. When Betty meets the mysterious Southside Serpent Jughead Jones at a party, the revolution is only just sparking. It isn't until the town is burning to ash around them that they confess their love, but by then it might just be too late.

Summary
The Riverdale Community Theatre Company is staging its greatest production to date: “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Betty Cooper sees this as an opportunity to make the company’s most sought-after actor, Archie Andrews, hers. Unfortunately, new girl in town, Veronica Lodge has scored a lead role, putting her directly opposite Archie. Behind the scenes, Jughead Jones has returned to his usual role back stage but is soon drafted into the play when one of the actors has an accident. Meanwhile, director Kevin Keller just wants to stage a successful play and keep his actors private lives separate.
