If there's anything about Chicago that Ray could do without besides the fixers out for his head, it's the lake effect snow. It's good and settled in for the season, now, and leaving the bunker for any reason feels like it takes a full team of sled dogs. They at least have trucks with snow tires and chains nearby, but being safe with transportation doesn't do anything to change the fact that the temperatures are something like the ones Dante experienced in the farthest reaches of Hell.

The kid is mostly limp across Jason's shoulders - which is both good that he's not struggling but also concerning that he's not struggling, considering Jason just broke into his house and kidnapped him. "Hey, Tim, you good?" he asks.
"Hurts," Tim mutters.
"I know it does, baby bird. We're almost home." The word comes out before he thinks about it, and he grits his teeth.
"Who... who are you?" Tim asks.
"Nobody, kid. I'm nobody you need to worry about."
Not anymore, at least.

Dick doesn't actually ambush Bruce when he gets home, but it's tempting. What he does do feels close enough, anyway. He queues up a close-up shot of Jason's face from the reconstructed footage, puts it on pause, and takes a seat in the Batcave's main chair to wait.
He has enough self-awareness to realize how dramatic he's being about this whole thing, but honestly, he feels like he's allowed. It's not like Bruce has any room to talk, anyway, considering how he spends his nights.

Jason stops on a nearby ledge, scanning the area, searching for a disturbance - and there's another pleading cry, followed immediately by a splash. He hears laughter, and he zeroes in on a group of thugs leaning over the edge of a wall. Two of them are still holding baseball bats, and there's another one laying on the street a few feet away. They're not members of any gang he recognizes - and considering this is his territory, he should recognize them.
Not that that changes anything, if he heard what he thinks he did.
Jason launches himself off the building and lands heavily behind them. "Hey fellas," he says, tone mock-casual. "What's funny?"
