A beat passes. “I’m not gay, Regulus.” James says it with a sense of finality. Like Regulus should’ve known already.
The words Regulus him like a punch. Because he remembers. The late nights, long drives. Indulgent kisses. Drunken laughs. Midnight confessions. Then, he realizes, James only kisses him when he’s drunk, with the big light off.
