“Well it’s not nothing,” Ed said, crossing his arms. “Listen I trust you, but you took ages. That wasn’t the plan. We would have been gone hours ago if you had followed the plan. So what happened?”
He winced a little as he saw Stede’s expression. It was… shame. And guilt. Sadness.
“I’m not a good person, Ed,” he said quietly. “How have you not seen that yet?”
