Summary
His chest raises and falls. And then stutters. He, Simon, should not be alive.
Partially blind and heavily disoriented, Simon wakes up in an unfamiliar place. His first contact is not with Ryland Grace, Rocky, or any other of the Eridians, but with the alien planet- mercifully embraced by the substance of life.

Summary
Ryland Grace still has some lingering memory issues on the way to Erid. He has unfortunately forgotten that he has a tramp stamp leftover from his crazy college years - funny how such a little thing can cause Simon to lose what is left of his self restraint and sanity.

Summary
Things don't always run smoothly, in the early days after they leave Genna. Currently, the thing that isn't running smoothly is the lower half of Thia's body. Dek finds her dragging herself along a corridor of the ship and crosses his arms, staring silently down at her.
“Oh, hi! I'm just – don't mind me,” Thia says brightly. “This shouldn't last long. My legs just went out – can you believe it?”
“Yes,” Dek says flatly.
Or, Thia's having some reconnection problems after being torn in half and hastily put back together. Dek helps her out, and together they discover something neither of them expected. (Takes place after The Pack Survives.)
