For years, Xinyi had known that her brothers needed help. That they weren't okay. And that it was beyond her ken to offer it.
For years she'd known that, and for a while, since boarding the Berenice and reaching the Mark Anthony, she thought they could get better...Their humour for sure did, but no amount of gut feelings and hunches could prepare her for knowing for sure the cause behind it...And with discovery, comes trouble.
It's a struggle, to keep composed.
To wear back the apathetic face he's unfortunately — now more than ever — started losing.
It's a struggle, and twice so as the twins startle in unison for a question he didn't think would get him a reaction that strong if any at all, Xinyi paling like a vengeful ghost while staring at Haoran, who looks at his chopsticks as if they bit him leaving him thirty seconds to live...Series

It's been two weeks since Jack woke up, nearly a full month since her escape pod was retrieved by the Mark Anthony's crew, and as she sets in her hospital routine, turns out that being a castaway in space is way less exciting that she thought it'd be...Stretching her shoulders and slapping the wheel of her chair as she grabs its hand rims, she starts making her way through the garden once more, her arms rested enough from her previous leg of its winding paths to continue her exploration of that artificial ecosystem, as beautiful as it is sterile.

Several days after the Mark Anthony's retrieval crew has managed to safely recover Jack's pod — or "space coffin" as they call it — she finally wakes up, surrounded by unfamiliar faces in an unfamiliar place.She remembers feeling cold enough her teeth were chattering and her skin hurting until eventually, she drifted to sleep.
And now here she is, pretending she can't hear the statuesque amazon of a woman with a clean, chin-length black bob cut grilling a shortie dressed to the nines who bleached white even his eyebrows — and likely grew up thinking he's got plot armor, his tone infuriating even without understanding any of his words...

When they first met as kids, Si-woong's already ruddy eyes were made raw and brighter by then already dried tears. Tears Haoran has never seen shed then nor over the years since. And for as brooding as he was then, for as rude and aggressive as he's been from there on, Haoran has understood that which no one else has seemingly realised: Si-woong's reds were never worn to to keep people away, like the coat on a poisonous frog. Si-woong's reds are a cry. A raw show of his heart. A plea to be seen and hated, as long as he's not forgotten[...].Eventually though, somewhere along the way, Haoran must have forgotten all of that.
OR: the one time in fifteen years where Haoran catches Si-woong crying.
