Jon wears this scarf all the time whenever he’s away from home. Even though it's spring, he doesn't care; Damian criticizes his fashion sense and his classmates tease him for it, but Jon doesn't mind because, for some reason, wearing it makes him feel safe.
Jon is taking remedial classes to bridge the seven-year gap in his education—a decade of growth he lost while trapped in a volcano on Earth-3 by Ultraman. Now, a year after his return, he’s also attending therapy as he prepares for college. He is trying to reclaim the life that, for everyone else, only stopped for three weeks."

After his Father decided that Jonathan Kent would be a good partner for him as Robin, Damian does not agree.
In fact, he believes he really dislikes the Kent kid.
The feeling appears to be mutual, but as they grow up and spend more and more time together, Damian starts to discover he doesn't dislike him, not exactly.
Hell, teenager Damian Wayne might even like him a bit too much.
Also: Jon teaching Damian how to be a normal kid while trying to not get murdered by that very same kid.

"Nothing could ever change that, D," Jon said, and Damian bit his lip before turning to look him straight in the eye, his expression so painful it made his heart ache.
"Don't make promises you can't keep, J."
"I've seen every side of you, D, every little nuance and shadow you've always tried to hide from everyone. But not from me. What makes you think this will change the way I've always looked at you?"
"You will never be able to look at me the same way again."
