Summary
As 12 unsuspecting humans entered the area of Oakhurst, each there for their own reason, something stirred, buried deep beneath the ruins of a long abandoned castle. It was a monster, in the traditional sense of the word. It had the potential to rip the town to shreds, along with anyone and everyone inside. It was a creature of the night, needlessly violent and to be purged from this realm as soon as possible.
It was a vampire.

Pearl stood up straight, giving Cleo a familiar fake smile. “What’s what? Nothin’ to see here, love.”Cleo arched an eyebrow, and Pearl sighed, glancing away.
“Fine, but you have to promise not to freak out.”
“Well now I’m worried,” they returned with a laugh that died quickly when she didn’t join. Wordlessly, Pearl showed Cleo what she’d hidden behind her back.
