“I’m not letting go of you.” Edward squeezes Roy’s wrist until it hurts. Until Edward’s adrenaline and fear shake down Roy’s skin and sink into his bones. “S-So stop—stop being a dumbass and help me—”
The kid’s voice finally breaks open, raw and wet and scared. It strikes Roy’s core deeper than any bullet. Any knife.

“Annual Fitness Day,” Peter says. When Neal frowns, he elaborates. “It’s a small obstacle course. It’s presented as a fun team building exercise, but it’s also an evaluation.”
Neal flips through the papers. “Interesting,” he says. Then, he hands the packet back to Peter. “No.”
Peter refuses to take it. He puts his hands in his pockets and laughs. “Oh, no. This is mandatory. Luckily, I already signed us up.”

Peter smiled, “Thank you, Stephen.” The name felt odd coming out of his mouth.
The laugh was slight, barely even one. “Still feels weird.” Stephen smiled; it was small and didn’t cause the edges of his eyes to crease.

The Magician stared at him, eyes mourning something already lost. “Good luck kid.”

He has his Harley and Ivy who have pretty much adopted him while he's trying to figure things out. Jason thinks the new spider guy is pretty funny with how none of the Bats can get a hold of him. Peter knows he should just lay low but there is a crazy amount of crime in Gotham and he can't just look the other way
