HAWKINS POST - NOVEMBER 14TH, 1983
Sad news this morning, 11 year old WILLIAM BYERS is, once again, confirmed dead.
Mike crumpled the newspaper in his hands and chucked it across the room. He felt like he couldn’t breathe. After everything they had discovered, everything they’d been through… Will was really gone.
OR: After discovering everything about the upside down, the lab, and Eleven, the same way in season 1, Joyce and Hopper returned from the upside down, without Will. After hours of searching, they found nothing but Will’s vest, bloodied and torn to shreds, but no Will. After hours, they had to assume the worst, and escape the upside down before the demogorgon came after them, too. But unbeknownst to them, Will was very much alive. What happens when, 5 years later, 16 year old Will Byers returns to the Rightside Up, just in the nick of time, to rescue his friends from Vecna’s demogorgons.

“You’re queer aren’t you.” His voice was brutal. Mike was sure he’d never heard him speak like that before and his heart all but shattered. He instantly regretted opening up. How could he have been so stupid? He had thought Will would at the very least understand, but why should Will react any differently? Mike wasn’t normal, as much as he wished he was. He’d been grappling with it for a very long time—that there was something wrong with him, with his brain. He’d just about come to terms with it, enough to be brave enough to be honest with El about it, to stop hiding.
But if Will Byers thought it was disgusting and wrong, then it must be.--OR--
Mike and Will are staking out in the Upside Down Church when Mike is targeted by Vecna.

Basically half of this is my theory for season 5 that I came up with before vol 1 came out so it’s definitely not anywhere close to canon compliant once Vol 2 comes out and I do not think this is the direction the Duffers are gonna go but i don’t CARE im having fun! I hope you also have fun w it! Yay!

Tony’s heart rate increased steadily as his eyes bore into the screen. His fingers were clutching his coffee mug so tightly he was afraid it might break.
Come on, Peter, Tony urged silently, Come on, Spiderman.
But then, the whole structure seemed to collapse in on itself. Tony’s heart all but stopped in his chest. The dust cloud from the wreckage dissipated and all Tony could do was stare at the screen in horror, frozen in place, silently begging Peter to pop up from the wreckage, victorious. But Peter was nowhere to be seen. Instead, the Vulture emerged from the building, unscathed.OR
Spider-Man Homecoming, but Peter is more seriously injured by a building collapsing on top of him and Tony is more trusting of Peter's instincts than Peter thought.
