After the end of the Neo Egoist League, Blue Lock enters its Second Stage: a virtual reality simulator so advanced that it's impossible to distinguish it from the real world.
Rin Itoshi is the only one who discovers the truth—the entire program is nothing more than a gigantic AI experiment, full of infinite loops to create the perfect striker. All the other players are programmed NPCs… or at least that's how it should be.
The more Rin interacts with them, the more the AIs gain self-awareness. Real feelings. Real desires. And a growing obsession with the only being who can make them feel something real in this false world.
