Objectively, this used to be true. Nowadays Shane has many, many plans, between his nightly plans to look at Ilya’s penis through Skype and his various long-term plans laid out helpfully in his notebook, Canva (For Ilya’s sake. He is a visual learner), and more recently, Excel. Shane loves that excel sheet. He’s colour coded it.
In 2017, Shane Hollander spirals and proposes to his boyfriend of 4 days (or 7 years, or 9 years, or not his boyfriend at all, depending on how you look at it), which leads to a lot of plans, weird theories in the Montreal Voyageur locker room, some Twitter drama, and Ilya Rozanov entering his WAG era.

Summary
Shane is a NHL hockey player who recently suffered a serious and potentially career ending injury. He moves into the supposedly isolated cabin he just finished building on Lake Blackthorn to work on healing and weighing the possibility of a new life path, only to discover the abandoned cottage across the water isn’t as abandoned as his relator told him.
In fact, it’s inhabited by a 6’3’’ blond Russian who seemingly walked straight out of his not so straight dreams.
Ilya is a witch who just moved into an inherited family cottage and spends all his time in his greenhouse growing exotic plants. He doesn’t have time for romance and he definitely doesn’t have any time for his uptight and horrendously boring new neighbor.
And there is no way, no possible way, he is sort of, kinda, maybe falling in love with him. Absolutely not.
