Summary
There was nothing that concerned Slade anymore. Though he didn't appreciate the circumstances it occurred under, a wedge had been driven between Adrian and the rest of those friends of his. Driving him straight over to Slade's side where he was swooped up and brought in. Wintergreen had sent him a look as they both watched Adrian as he disappeared off to meet with them, but Billy didn't say anything further.
Whatever went down between Adrian and the 11th Street Kids, Slade wasn't privy to. But by all means, he'd been completely and utterly correct. No matter what went on between the lot of them. He watched as Adrian returned to his side with a smile on his lips and a skip in his step. Throwing his arms around Slade's waist and leaning into him, he looked up with his big, round eyes.

Alternatively, there was a chance for Chris to mess up before he learnt to better himself and win Adrian over. In this missed chance, Adrian finds himself caught in Slade's gaze and brought to him inch by inch before it all explodes, literally, and he finds that there is nowhere he'd rather be but by Slade's side and nobody else's.
