“He might as well win every year. That hedgehog is never settling down.”
Both ears press back against his head, a grimace spread across his tan muzzle.
“Well, his catchphrase is ‘Gotta Go Fast.’ I doubt there’s anyone who would be able to keep up with him.”
Focus, his mind chides. Grab the test and get out of here.
“Please. There are plenty. He needs someone who is worth slowing down for.”

Summary
Sonic was dead, for a whole year that is what everyone believed. His sudden disappearance and lack of evidence of where he could be caused them all to conclude that he had died. That was until Shadow, along with Tails, Amy, and Knuckles found themselves in the world of Camelot, the kingdom ruled by none other than Sonic who, after saving Camelot, had found himself stuck. There was no way to get back home and the kingdom needed a ruler.
Up to this point, Shadow believed he was unfit to grieve a person he did not know, a person who he had pushed away time and time again. But here was his chance, before they would all need to return home, he could finally get to know Sonic, who he truly was.
One slight problem; the carbon copy of Shadow known as Lancelot seems to hold a grudge against him. If he wants to befriend Sonic, then he must go through his most trusted knight.
But why does Lancelot look at Sonic like he holds up the moon and the stars? Why does Sonic talk about the knight with such endearment? Wait. Are they flirting???
Or “Shadow watches Sonic and his medieval doppelgänger flirt with each other and is very confused”

How could he when he lost his king.... his lover?
And the murder who killed him looked exactly like him.
Was the killer of the tyrant king... also Arthur?!
