"Yeah?" Drift breathed out as they broke apart for the first time in what felt like years, their foreheads pressed together as they breathed in each others sighs.
"I'm sorry."
"What? Why are you sorry?"
A heavy silence fell over the pair as AJ took the time to study her lovers face, freighted eyes darting across her features, inspecting every freckle and scar and committing it to memory.
"This isn't real- you- you're not here. Not anymore."
"AJ, I-"

AJ copes with Drift's absence the same way she copes with everything in her life, drinking until she forgets her own damn name. Her subconscious however, refuses to let her forget one thing in particular—or, well... one person. (Featuring a blue orchid used as symbolism because yeah.)

Bonnie turned in their bed so that they were facing each other.
“Not a secret,” Bonnie mumbled, “Just taking it slow. Only letting people who need to know know, you know?”
Marceline leveled her with a stern look, “Which is why Lemongrab of all people know, but Finn doesn’t?”
Bonnie cringed.
Or, while trying to tell Finn about the fact that Bonnie and Marceline are dating, Bonnie ends up apologising for all the ways she's hurt Finn in the past -- and ends up learning to forgive herself too.

“I thought you came here to stargaze?”
“I am,” Bonnie said, her voice muffled by Marceline’s clothes. “Got the prettiest one right here.”
Bonnie can't sleep, so she decides to escape the Candy Kingdom and get in some stargazing. Marceline joins in too, and Bonnie suddenly isn't so interested in those flaming balls of gas anyways.
It's the 15 year anniversary of Adventure Time, which is absolutely banaynays to me and I've gotten re-re-re-obsessed with these disaster girlkissers so I had to get something out :)
