Summary
Nothing was the same after the death of his parents. Xie Lian's entire world shifted on its axis. Nothing made any sense anymore. Suddenly, he was living for each day, trying to come to terms with losing the people he loved most, knowing that he hadn't been able to save them. Every day was an act to ensure the people around him believed that everything was fine while internally, he was still spiraling, reliving their deaths and looking for ways to fix it. Until one night, he saw a monster watching him from the corner of the bedroom.
